Growing Greener Innovations wins Inventures 2019 pitch competition

Edmonton's Growing Greener Innovations was named the winner of the Building Smarter Cities category of the Inventures Startup Pitch competition last week, taking home a $10,000 prize. Seven local companies participated in the competition including ez enRoute, Ripple Design Studio, Metabolomic Technologies Inc., SafeContact Solutions Inc., Mdiio, and Hölmetrics.

Edmonton was well-represented at Inventures 2019, with Innovate Edmonton staffing a large booth in the main convention space, Mayor Iveson speaking at the Inventures Block Party, and a delegation from the City of Edmonton and EEDC in attendance, in addition to a number of Edmonton-based speakers and other attendees who participated in the conference.
