CICG Client BarrierTek Awarded $1.95M WD BSP Interest-Free Funding

We're happy to announce that one of CICG's longtime clients, BarrierTek, has been awarded $1.95 in repayable, interest-free funding from Western Economic Diversification Canada's (WD) Business Scale-Up and Productivity (BSP) program.


Th funding, announced on September 5th at WD's webpage, aims to help Western Canadian businesses increase their productivity and competitiveness by growing their operations and expand into new markets.


BarrierTek's WD BSP funding aims to help the company increase production and distribution of their innovative fire retardant coatings for wood construction products by helping expand their manufacturing capacity in Western Canada.

BarrierTEK specializes in creating innovative, flame retardant materials for the home and building industry. Their focus is manufacturing and distribution of affordable and efficacious solutions that help make fire code compliant structures both possible and practical.

About WD BSP:

The Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program stream supports businesses at various stages of development, including high-growth firms, wanting to accelerate their growth, scale-up, and be more productive and competitive in both domestic and global markets. It offers interest-free funding to western Canadian companies.
